What’s news in Narita
What’s news in Narita? It’s Japanese Drums Festival !!
The origins of Japanese tourism started with people traveling to shrines or temples for worship. Naritasan temple’s origin began in a similar way. Each year over 10 million people visit Naritasan temple. With the construction of the new airport 29 years ago, Narita city has learned to adapt into more of an international city. Narita city is striving to combine both its traditional cultural qualities with its newfound economic growth in order to take advantage of both aspects.
This celebration occurs once a year in the spring. The Naritasan Temple was built over 1,000 years ago as place of worship for Buddhism. This event is held to celebrate the new and old traditions of Narita city. Hopefully these celebrations will continue for many years to come.
